There is no need to prepare anything for your initial consultation. The best consultations are usually those where the client maintains an open mind and heart. Spirit always communicates what we are most in need of hearing, for our highest good.

What is Reiki and can anyone do it?
Reiki as a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
Reiki is a natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

Do I have to have psychic or mediumship gifts in order to practice Reiki?
Although individuals with such gifts often experience an amplification of their abilities, it is not necessary to be a a psychic or medium to become a Reiki Practitioner. Everyone has intuitive gifts to some degree.
What is the difference between Usui Reiki and Karuna Reiki?
Karuna Reiki is a great amplifier of an Usui Reiki practitioner's gifts to channel the universal life force.
Karuna Reiki has a higher vibrational approach than Usui Reiki and is more focused on working with higher spiritual entities.
During your attunements you will receive more specialized symbols that are used for deep healing, breaking old negative patterns and restoring balance at a higher spiritual and emotional level.
Pre-requisite for the Karuna Reiki course is to hold your Usui Reiki Level III certification.
